fashion: TREND ALERT - Silver
Mixed metals were huge last year; playing with both silver and gold. but this year we are only focusing on one of the major metals; silver. For many, silver is ideal for nights out on town or swanky parties but for 2019 we are redefining when it is appropriate to rock silver, and the answer has become EVERY SINGLE DAY! At Fashion week, a variety of designers, put together monochromatic silver ensembles and others used silver layering pieces as the statement. Regardless, the runways were shinning everywhere you turned. Tom Ford created a bold silver pantsuit ideal for any party, while Dennis Basso put together an elegant silver dress in a slightly more muted tone. Balmain had a full collection of silver ensembles, making the runway feel like a fabulous modern disco ball. Since February tends to be the greyest time of the year, why not add some sparkle to your life with this extra stylish trend.
Ready To Wear- Winter 2019
How would I rock the silver trend? I’d probably invest in a sleek silver pencil skirt hitting my legs just above the ankles. Having this piece in my life would make it easy to elevate for work with a button-down blouse or feature it on my next date night with a body suit and moto jacket. Or maybe I’d purchase silver joggers, adding a cool touch to a casual vibe. With these edgy joggers, I can instantly elevate a graphic tee or cozy sweater staying true to the comfort while adding a little pizzazz to an everyday look. Maybe a statement piece of clothing isn’t your forte?! Don’t worry, you can add this trend to your closet in a practical way with a gorgeous silver hand bag or funky silver heels. Both options are not only spunky and playful but they are staples meaning they won’t go out of style anytime soon. Who doesn’t want to add a little shine to their closet?!
